Robyn Pearson, Director

Robyn has seventeen years experience in manufacturing and service industries in Australia and the United Kingdom.  Robyn has a Bachelor of Economics degree from Macquarie University and is  a member of the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants.

Robyn has spent most of her career working for multinational organisations in the area of Business Development and General Management. Robyn has managed major capital projects and been responsible for the development of  strategic business plans on an international level.

Robyn gained her experience in the waste industry working with the waste management division of Brambles Australia. Here Robyn managed five businesses including the Medical Waste Business and the Ryde Transfer Station in Sydney. Her final role as Business Development Manager involved her working with major clients developing waste minimisation strategies.

Robyn has presented at a number of Industry seminars, national and local, and has written articles on waste minimisation and resource management. back to top

Trevor Thornton, Senior Technical Consultant

Having initially obtained a Degree in Education, Trevor has gained considerable experience in developing specific training programs for industry and presenting education sessions for many sectors of industry and the community.  He has lectured widely on waste auditing and waste minimisation techniques.Trevor's past experiences include being employed by the Victorian Environment Protection Authority, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of many waste management policies, including those for biomedical waste and municipal waste.  He was a Senior Waste Management Officer and the EPA's Local Government Liaison Officer.

He has completed a Masters Degree in Environmental Science, where he gained further knowledge in waste minimisation techniques.

Trevor has served on a variety of committees including the Victorian Government's Advisory Committee on Hospital Waste Disposal and the Australian and New Zealand Environment and Conservation Council Committee on the Release of Genetically Modified Organisms.  Trevor currently lectures at Deakin University, in Hazardous Materials Management and is currently studying for a Doctor of Technology in environment management systems.

The Commonwealth Environment Protection Agency recently awarded Trevor a grant to develop a waste minimisation manual for the health-care industry.  This involved researching current activities in this area throughout Australia.

Trevor recently completed an Environment Systems Auditor course conducted by Standards Australia and is applying for accreditation as an Environmental Auditor. back to top

Sandy Casaroli

Sandy has experience in waste auditing, project management, supervising and participating in waste characterisations and audits. During the completion of her master in engineering research Sandy has gained valuable experience in data interpretation, analysis and project report preparation to assist clients to attain a detailed understanding of their waste management requirements, waste assessment and audit outcomes. Since joining Waste Audit and Consultancy Services Sandy worked with clients in various industry sectors including government bodies in NSW and VIC, municipal councils as well as management enterprises.
